Maine Community College System engages TBGI to build their OpenIAM solution in the AWS Cloud

Maine Community College System (MCCS) engaged The Burgundy Group, Inc. (TBGI) to build out their OpenIAM solution in the AWS Cloud on February 6, 2024. The original timeline to launch the production environment for testing was one month. Actual launch: one week.
Background
MCCS is in the midst of implementing Anthology as their student and finance solutions. The Anthology implementation commenced in late 2022 and is ongoing. As part of the project, MCCS chose to implement a single sign on solution to enhance users’ experience across MCCS enterprise applications. MCCS selected OpenIAM as their single sign on solution and TBGI as their OpenIAM implementation partner.
The initial timeline to launch the OpenIAM production environment was one month. Using delivered Amazon Web Services as the cloud solution, MCCS and TBGI were able to launch the production environment in one week. In addition to the production server, MCCS and TBGI were able to launch 30 micro services to provide integrations between OpenIAM and other MCCS enterprise applications.
The Maine Community College System (MCCS) launched an ambitious deployment of OpenIAM in the midst of a shared services reorganization and an ERP implementation. With attrition and adoption of this new technology, we found ourselves in need of a partner to instantiate an AWS infrastructure to support our initiatives. We selected the TBGI to deploy and support operations of this infrastructure, allowing us to focus on our OpenIAM development and provide room for our team to gain expertise in AWS while meeting a crush of other project work. TGBI has done a fantastic job for us. They were on time and on point in standing up this infrastructure and patiently worked with us as we refined our needs in real time. Once up and running, we’ve been gratified by their responsiveness and attention to our needs. As a small client with a small project, it’s really appreciated to know they have the focus to keep us top of mind in supporting this critical infrastructure.
